Searching Real Estate Using Maps

There is a new trend in real estate websites that seems to make sense. Real estate has always been about location, location, locations... now you can search by location on a map. Interesting sites have appeared, such as housingmaps.com which combines craigslist and the google maps api. Others such such oodle.com are also doing the same.

Some twist to this has been a free "For Sale by Owner" site, forsalebyownercenter.com which allows you to search it's listings also using google maps but with a nice twist where it shows the pictures of the homes. Take a look at the real estate map search page.

Coldwellbanker.com is now also jumping on the bandwagon with it's recent site update.
